Production of the companies from the meat industry in Bulgaria recorded a YoY decline for the seventh consecutive quarter, shows the industry report of SFB Capital Market JSC on the development of the sector. During the July-September period of 2010 production decreased by 12.5% over the same period of 2009. Turnover from sales of products and goods and services also decreased by 11.4% YoY. The trend of YoY increase in imported quantities of meat products in Bulgaria continued. In the third quarter of 2010 growth is 6.5% and in the first nine months - 7.3%. Export also continued to grow. In the third quarter of 2010 it increased by 26.7% and in the first nine months - by 40.7%. Surveyed enterprises have sold more pork meat, bovine meat and sausages, and less poultry meat on the domestic market in the third quarter of 2010. Sales during the first nine months of 2010 are higher in all major product groups. (26.01.2011)
